The Algiers International Cultural Festival of Symphonic Music is a major artistic event in Algeria, dedicated to the promotion of classical and symphonic music. Established in 2009 by the Algerian Ministry of Culture and Arts, it is held annually in Algiers, bringing together national and international orchestras.
The festival welcomes musicians, conductors, and ensembles from many countries, offering the public a rich program featuring masterpieces from the great repertoire (such as works by Beethoven, Mozart, or Tchaikovsky) as well as contemporary creations.
Concerts generally take place in iconic venues such as the Algiers Opera House “Boualem Bessaih,” contributing to the enhancement of Algerian cultural heritage. In parallel, the festival organizes masterclasses, meetings, and artistic exchanges, fostering the training of young musicians.
Over the years, the festival has established itself as an essential cultural event, contributing to the influence of symphonic music in Algeria and to the dialogue between cultures.
