Under the high patronage of the Minister of Culture and Arts, Dr Malika Bendouda, and on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the passing of the master of Algerian classical music, Professor Cheikh El Hadj Abdelkrim Dali (1978–2026), coinciding with Heritage Month,The Cheikh El Hadj Abdelkrim Dali Foundation, in coordination with the Opéra d’Alger Boualem Bessaïh, and with the contribution of the Algerian Public Television and the Algerian Public Radio, is organizing a distinguished artistic and cultural event under the theme:
“Cheikh Abdelkrim Dali… Through Time.”
The performance will be led by the artist Leïla Borsali, with the participation of a selection of renowned artists, including Abdelwahab Djazouli, Rival Galfat, as well as the winners of the Abdelkrim Dali Prize: Asma Ait Chaabane and Nessima Haffaf. The event will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 7:30 PM, at the main hall of the Opéra d’Alger Boualem Bessaïh.
By hosting this event, the Opéra d’Alger Boualem Bessaïh reaffirms its central role in preserving the national artistic memory and safeguarding Algerian musical heritage, by reviving the works of its pioneers and presenting them to new generations through a refined artistic approach that blends authenticity and modernity.
The Opera also works to support associations and institutions active in heritage preservation and encourages cultural initiatives aimed at documenting and transmitting this legacy, thereby ensuring the continuity of creativity and honoring the great figures of Algerian art, foremost among them Cheikh El Hadj Abdelkrim Dali.
