Founded in 2018, the Yetu Classical Chamber Orchestra is an ensemble composed exclusively of string instruments, based in Luanda, Angola. Its goal is to promote the training of young talents. In 2023, the orchestra reached a significant milestone by integrating a choir and forming various performance ensembles, thereby expanding its repertoire and scope of action. Currently consisting of 15 talented musicians, it is led by artistic director Frank Abreu. Its mission is to encourage music education and develop musical experiences that highlight both tradition and innovation. The Yetu orchestra benefits from the support of the “Camões – Portuguese Cultural Center,” a key partner in cooperation aimed at promoting artistic projects.
