Jan Talich is an exceptional figure not only in local Czech culture but also on an international scale. He performs as a soloist, chamber musician, conductor, and pedagogue throughout the world. His career as a soloist is his longest-running; his successes allowed him to launch a solo career that continues to this day. In recent years, he has embarked on a conducting career, receiving invitations to perform across Europe and the United States. He has performed numerous works by contemporary composers. His experience as a soloist and chamber musician, combined with his perspective as a conductor, makes him a very significant figure in cultural life both in Czechia and abroad. His discography is extensive, featuring dozens of CD recordings with the Talich Quartet, with his orchestras, and as a soloist.
