As part of the national artistic tours organized by the Algiers Opera “Boualem Bessaïh”, the Andalusian Ensemble of the Algiers Opera, representing its three schools – Algiers, Constantine, and Tlemcen – arrives in Oran for a special artistic residency.
This residency offers a unique opportunity for the three Andalusian schools to come together in a creative workshop, aiming to blend the particularities of each school while embracing their diverse techniques and styles, in a way that reflects the richness and authenticity of the Algerian Andalusian heritage.
This major artistic gathering will culminate in an elegant Andalusian concert on Saturday, September 27, 2025, on the stage of the Regional Theater “Abdelkader Alloula” in Oran, granting the city’s audience and lovers of authentic art from across western of Algeria exceptional moments filled with Andalusian maqâmât and melodies.
The concert will be conducted under the distinguished tripartite leadership of masters of Andalusian art:
• Nacib Kateb – Algiers
• Samir Boukriedira – Constantine
• Adil Belkhouja – Tlemcen
The radiant city of Oran will also enjoy a bouquet of songs performed by promising voices, including:
• Sabrine Lounis Khouja – Algiers
• Nesrine Ghanem – Tlemcen
• Moubarak Dekhla – Constantine
