Founded by a trio of young Danish musicians and a Polish violist, the “NOVO” quartet began its journey in 2018, striving—with modest means at first—to carve out a place on the national and then international artistic scene. The group has performed in world-renowned venues such as Wigmore Hall and the Laeiszhalle, in addition to outreach tours in Kenya, Greenland, Svalbard, and Colombia. The NOVO Quartet has won first prizes at competitions in Geneva, Heidelberg, Carl Nielsen, and Trondheim. In 2025, the quartet began a new chapter as an Associate Ensemble at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, the same year they signed their debut album, “TRACK 1.” This musical compilation earned them rave reviews. Creative and communicative, the quartet has become a small family built on respect, mindfulness, and humor. This philosophy inspired them to create their own festival, ACROSS, where ensembles are invited to celebrate the spirit of chamber music together
