Festival Orchestra of the Russian Federation

Founded in 2022, the Russian Festival Orchestra is one of Russia’s youngest, most dynamic, and highly sought-after ensembles, performing on the country’s most prestigious stages and constantly pushing the boundaries of its creative capabilities in classical music interpretation. In 2024, the project attracted more than 3,000 musicians of all ages (from 10 to 36) from various Russian regions, including Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Karelia, Tambov, Magnitogorsk, Donetsk, Sakhalin, Kaliningrad, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Sevastopol, and Vladivostok. The orchestra’s resident artistic partner is the Great Hall of the Conservatory, where they have recorded symphonies by Shostakovich, Beethoven, and Mahler, Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet, instrumental works by R. Strauss, Mozart, and Bizet, as well as choral masterpieces by Taneyev, and several world premieres. The soloists include Joseph Nikitenko (vocals), Polina Thai (cello), Eva Plakun (violin), Daniella Kondrat (vocals), Polina Sharovarova (vocals), and Ivan Chepkin (piano).
