
Born in Tunis, Chadi Garfi began his musical education at an early age on the piano. He first attended the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Tunis, then moved to the Higher Institute of Music, Dramatic Arts, and Ballet in Damascus. There, he studied under Russian experts and earned his Bachelor’s degree with high honors.
In 2006, he joined the Evry-Courcouronnes Conservatory in Paris to specialize in orchestral conducting. He later attended the Pôle Supérieur de Musique in Saint-Denis, where he obtained his diploma in orchestral conducting and orchestration, as well as a degree in musical composition from the Maurice Ravel Conservatory.
In addition to his practical training, Chadi Garfi holds a Master of Research in Music and Musicology and is currently completing his PhD at the University of Rouen, France.
He has conducted numerous major concerts at prestigious festivals in Tunisia, including the opening of the Carthage International Festival (2017), the closing of the Boukornine International Festival (2015), and the Hammamet International Festival (2015 and 2022). He has also performed in Syria, Jordan, Italy, and France.
Garfi is a producer and presenter for Radio Tunis Culture, a professor at the University of Manouba, and currently serves as the director of the Tunisian Symphony Orchestra.
