“Pyotr Tchaikovsky – Music Beyond Borders”
As part of the celebration of the 185th anniversary of the birth of the Russian musical genius Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, the Opera of Algiers “Boualem Bessaïh”, as a leading cultural and artistic institution, is organizing an exceptional symphonic concert entitled:
“Pyotr Tchaikovsky – Music Beyond Borders”,
on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., at the Opera of Algiers.
This concert is being held in partnership with the International Charitable Foundation “Nadezhda von Meck”, and with the support of the Russian Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, as part of an international cultural program that reflects the spirit of artistic openness and cultural exchange between Algeria and Russia.
In addition to the symphonic performance, the program will feature:
- An academic lecture on the life and works of Tchaikovsky, delivered by Russian music experts;
- And four specialized artistic workshops in:• Classical violin• Classical piano• Operatic singing
The audience of the Opera is invited to a refined artistic evening, blending the elegance of symphonic performance with a profound interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s works, featuring musicians from leading Russian conservatories, alongside promising young Algerian musicians and the distinguished voices of the Opera of Algiers Choir.
