A refined Andalusian evening at the Algiers Opera House “Boualem Bessaïh”
The Algiers Opera House will host an exceptional artistic evening on December 12, 2025, titled “The Melody of Names,” a new musical experience celebrating the masterpieces of Andalusian heritage through an innovative blend of music and storytelling.
The Andalusian Orchestra will take part in this performance with its three ensembles: Algiers, Constantine and Tlemcen, offering the audience an artistic journey exploring the names that have shaped Algeria’s musical memory.
Three of the most prominent Andalusian voices will enrich the evening: Nesrine Ghenim, Lamia Maâdini, and Fateh Rouana, performing a selection of timeless works with refined sensitivity that highlights the beauty of this ancestral art.
Storyteller Siham Kenounche will guide the audience through narrative segments that shed light on the history, meanings and symbolism of the names featured in the musical texts linked to Andalusian heritage, adding an authentic cultural and intellectual depth to the event.
